Sincere sympathy to the Keatinge and Kierse families on the sad passing of Mona. She was such a wonderful lady. We met at the Clare Retired Teachers' trips abroad on several occasions and were so privileged to share the dinner table each evening with Mona and her sister in law, Mrs. Liddy.

Mona truly was a great mother ,wonderful teacher & a pure lady .I remember visiting your family home from a very good age which was always a hive of activity with Mona at the helm in the kitchen baking & creating .We so adored Mona as our teacher in Inagh NS as she taught us so many life skills ,not just concentrating on the 3 R’s & she cared about each of her pupils .I will always remember her warm smile & her sense of style .Cinnte ní bheidh a léithéid arís ann .Le comhbhrón ó Shiobhán Ní Gháirbhith

Sincere condolences to all the Keating family on the very sad passing of your dear Mam, a wonderful lady. I have great memories of her teaching me in Gortbofearna N.S. Mrs Keating was always so kind and caring in my early years and I thoroughly enjoyed her teaching me Home Economics till 6th class. Thank you for the many lifts you gave me on wet days. We were blessed to have had her as our teacher. Miss Kierse, as we called her then, was a wonderful, kind, devoted teacher. She created beautiful memories for us. Go raibh maith agat.

My deepest sympathy to Mona’s family and to all who will miss her. I have lovely memories of Mona when she attended the Burren Outdoor Retreats at The Red Gates. She was so knowledgeable about local history, folklore and so much more. Her sense of humour and resilience when walking the limestone pavements endeared her to us all.

Herself & Michael were always so kind and obliging even with their own busy family. It was always lovely to meet Mona at Friday morning mass in recent years and have the chats.
