What a beautiful ceremony.
And the music was so moving, with a sublime rendering of Panis Angelicus, and the song ‘Listen’, which was new to me, was articulated with such cristalline clarity of diction that Mona must surely have approved. I could understand every word.
And finally, ‘The Ship’ recited by Conor, - just perfect.
God bless, Mona.
And thank you.

Conor, Cliodhna, Barry and Deirdre. I am sorry that I won't be able to attend your mum's funeral on Saturday morning. Mona ( and Tom) were just such lovely people . Ironically I got to know Mona so much better when I left 122 when my mum was always keen to show off the grandkids to Mona . Our mum and Mona were truly great pals and very similar in a lot of ways . Both true ladies and both very proud of their families and Grandchildren . Your mum had a wonderful smile , captured perfectly in the picture above and chatting to her always left me with a warm feeling . I hope that you will get through this difficult time and be left with the undying love that a mother leaves in your hearts always . Rest easy Mona and look after Tom when you are home
