I thought the absolute world of Nana. To me, she was an absolute icon, and I would always tell anyone who would listen about her.
She never failed to make a clever comeback that would have you laughing. Her most famous one-liner is
"Is that thing glued to your hand ."
When you'd be sitting there on your phone. And we were all well used to hearing it.
The last few months of her life were difficult, but I admired her for the way that she kept fighting until the very end. She was always so appreciative of the help she was given even though sometimes she didn't want it.
As a family, we all absolutely adored her just as much as she adored us.
To be there by her side when she passed was an absolute honour and a privilege, and I am so grateful for all that she has done for us and I will forever hold onto the wonderful memories I have of her.
I am proud to have called my Nana Nana, and I hope that both she and Grandad have been reunited in heaven and are looking down and watching over us. No doubt they are bursting with pride over the beautiful family they have created.
I will forever hold them in my heart until the day that I myself die .
Rest in peace, Nana .
There won't be another icon like you.

Mona was a lovely woman. Growing up with her as my aunt is an experience im so glad i had. It could be scary at times as she was a force to be reckoned with but she was always good and kind to us,made wonderful black forest gateaux, took us swimming, the list is endless.
