It is so sad to hear of the untimely passing of the beautiful Monica. I had the privilege to get to know Monica who was a beautiful intelligent, vibrant young woman who achieved so much in her short life. She had a great wit and charm which will always be remembered.

I was so proud of you doing your degree and I knew you’d see it through, which you did with amazing results. You fought so hard to beat this horrible disease and remained positive throughout. Hi Monica, yesterday I learned that you are gone. Unfortunately, we did no have enough time to know each other a little bit more, despite this I always felt so connected to you.

Please know that wherever you are I will always have you as an example of persistence and courage. You fought till the last minute for your life and that was beautiful.

That's how I will always remember you. A fighter, the best one.
