Monica was one of a kind. She had a great dry sense of humour and always knew what was going on, on the street. She cared about people too. During the Covid pandemic and despite being almost twice my age, she phoned to ask me if I needed any shopping done. In many ways she brought all the neighbours together.
It won't be the same without her.

My sympathies to Monica’ family during this very difficult time, I only have known Monica since moving to Capwell Avenue 5 years ago but she was always very chatty and kind to me, I will miss her as a neighbour and our ‘chats at the wall’, may she rest in peace.

When we moved to Capwell, we struck gold with our neighbours, and Monica was a big part of that. She was a wonderful neighbour—kind but no-nonsense, strong, and full of quiet warmth and wisdom.

We feel lucky to have lived next door to her for 10 years. We’ll always remember her in her garden, out and about with Aero, or stopping for a chat. Years later, our kids still reminisce about her kindness (and her biscuits).

During the year 2023 and 2024 we were neighbors to her in Capewell avenue, her warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on me.

I will always remember our friendly chats over the garden fence and her generous spirit.
