Monsignor Conlon was a great friend! I’ve known him since early 1980’s when I began cooking for the Priests at Holy Spirit and for Msgr. Timothy Doyle! Holy Spirit Catholic Church is in Fountain Valley, California. That is also when Fr. Colm was Pastor at St. John Neumann Catholic Church!
Fr. Tim, who hired me, and Fr. Colm, were best friends so Fr. Colm was at Holy Spirit quite often to visit !
After Fr. Tim passed away Fr. Colm stayed my friend and every so often we went to dinner, and I would call him or he called me from time to time. This all is before he went back to Ireland.
Fr. Colm also presided over my Mothers funeral in 2004 and also did the mass.
I only found out today Monsignor Colm Conlon passed away recently and I am in shock! He was such a dear friend and great Priest! I shall really miss him! I sent him a Christmas card also, and I’m sorry at the time I didn’t know! I’m so sorry I didn’t get to say Goodbye to such a great man!
RIP Fr. Colm, and I shall really miss you!!! Love and Prayers, Gloria Castle

My Deepest sympathy to the Conlon Family on the loss of your Loved One.🕯
We extend our sincere condolences to the Conlon family and friends and a heartful thank you for sharing Monsignor Colm with us in the United States as our life was so much better for having had him be part of it. We have been blessed to have known Fr. Conlon for over 40 years - before St. John Neumann church was built in Irvine. He stopped by our house shortly after we joined the parish, probably during one of his many walks. His sermons were always carefully prepared: thoughtful and sincere. He officiated at our 25th and 50th wedding vow renewals. We remember him as a humble, personable person with a delightful sense of humor. He called my husband, “Old Man McLaughlin” even though Truman was about 10 years younger than him. May Monsignor Conlon rest in peace knowing that he made a remarkable difference to so many people and that he was very much loved.

Our prayers and condolences go out to the family of Msgr Conlon. He is a wonderful priest and we always looked forward to hearing him give his words of wisdom during confession and in his homilies. May His soul be at rest in joy and love with Our Lord and His Blessed Mother
My sincere condolences to Fr Conlon’s family. With a long and well fulfilled life and ministry, unquestionably, Fr Colon fostered a great sense of reverence during the liturgy or Adoration, and kindness, care beyond boundaries of origin and background, while lifting with a great sense of humor and skillful prose. I thank God for his prayers, guidance and support. He will forever be remembered in my heart. May he Rest In Peace.
Heartfelt condolences to Father Conlon’s Family. He was the very first priest I can ever remember, celebrating Daily Mass in the front room of his Home, as our church was built with living stones.
I remember coming up to him at a very young age saying to him: I love it when you say “pray for us to the Lord our God.” Do you realize that all of those people pray for us every day? And something in his answer made me realize that I, too, had to pray for them as well… but I hadn’t started yet. He said “you can start today, my love.” I sincerely believe that his words were the seed of my religious vocation.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving me Jesus in the Holy Eucharist so many times, celebrating with love and devotion in every gesture and building more than a church a true parish family.
Those scouts were his little “church mice” as we would change “misselettes” at every liturgical season -going from pew to pew, not around but underneath them! He would come into the church and say his breviary or his rosary while we worked, and before we left he would have disappeared and brought us all Chocolate Hershey Bars and give them out (even in Lent)! It just goes to show that his pastor had his little lambs and he was known, moved and cherished by them.
May the heavens be blessed for having given us such a remarkable Missionnary ! Bless us all Monseignor! Pray for us to the Lord our God!

Belated condolences to the Conlon family on the passing of Monsignor Colm.
I only met Monsignor once but i must recall that event because of the kindness of Colm. Many years ago my brother Gabriel, sister Ursula, niece Kathryn and husband Edward and myself were on a trip down the west coast.
We stopped off at Colm's church for Sunday Mass-and what an experience that was -the pure joy of the people in taking a full part in the liturgy-and the welcome we got!(not to mention the dinner he put up for us tourists!)
From the tributes that Colm has had from his parishioners it is clear that he was a loved pastor to his flock.
Rest in peace Monsignor Colm-May the LORD reward you for your long and faithful ministry.

We were so blessed to have Msgr. Colm Colon as our founding pastor at St. John Neumann. I have known him since I was in the second grade and he has inspired me in every avenue of my life. He allowed us to do new things in youth ministry and start the Teen Choir for the 5 pm mass when I was in middle school, and I feel like it gave the church new energy. Thank you for your many years of service and leadership, Msgr. Conlon. We will continue to pray for you and your family as you always prayed for all of us. May you rest in peace in the place you have prepared us all for. We love and appreciate you. We’ll miss you, but never forget you and everything you’ve taught us! ♥️
