Sincere condolances to David, Ann, Mary Margaret , kevin, Karen & yvonne, also to Elenor Gene & Ella and to his cousins & Friends on the sad passing of our good friend Fr. JJ. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

My heartfelt condolences to Mary Margaret and the Fennessy family on the passing of Jim who was a classmate of my late husband, James Dalton.
A treasured friend to both of us, Jim was very kind and compassionate during my husband’s illness and visited us several times in Columbus during that time.
He also offered his home to us when we had appointments at Emory Hospital in Atlanta. It was during this time that we had the pleasure to meet Mary Margaret.
After my husband’s passing, Jim and other classmates came to our home to celebrate his life and con-celebrated at his Funeral Mass.
I have fond memories of get-togethers with Jim - many laughs and storytelling from their years in the seminary.
May Jim’s gentle soul rest peacefully in God’s loving arms.

So sad to hear about the unexpected death of my Classmate Jim. We always remained in Contacl with him since 1968. Visited him many times and he was a regular visitor to the Carlow College reunion. In the early 70's I met Coretta Scott King with him in Atlanta. May his gentle soul rest in peace

Msgr. Fennessy was the only catholic priest who was able to restore my faith in God. He married me, anointed me and my family, brought my husband into the church, married us, and baptized our miracle baby. He was one of the great ones of God; not speaking directly about the “rules” of the church but by encouraging me to focus on the positive and trust in God; he emphasized not to think and dwell on evil. Monsignor was funny, happy, and always had a good story to tell. I just can’t believe he’s already gone! Until soon, Monsignor Fennessy. Always and forever. 💞

JJ was adopted as our great uncle. And my childhood around him was fantastic. You could hear his laugh from two stories away. I will miss you uncle JJ, and ill never forget you. My love for Irish heritage was inspired by you JJ
