It was a pleasure to have met Mortimer many years ago on our first trip to Mannix Point, he was so welcoming and generous with his knowledge and we have since returned every year for a number of family summer trips and we looked forward to seeing him there. Mortimer was always kind and helpful and we are so grateful to him for the many beautiful memories we have of our times at Mannix Pt. and hope to continue our annual trips there and will think of him fondly. We will miss seeing him on the balcony watching the evening summer sun. Mortimer May your gentle soul Rest In Peace.

Sincere condolences to the family and friends of Mortimer Moriarty. We knew our stay at Mannix Point was going to be all okay when we saw Mortimer. He encouraged the singing and the fun. He will be missed far and wide but his legacy will live on through the beautiful campsite. We will remember him fondly with each summer sunset over Valentia. Safe onward journey Mortimer.

We thought we posted this earlier but made a hash of it. Sincere sympathies to all of Mortimers Family and Friends. Friends he had from all over Ireland and all over the world. He created a unique place in Mannix Point and we are among many who are so glad he did. We made lifelong friends. I remember well his last lie to me he told me I could sing. What a charmer. Mortimer was always so welcoming and next August we will sing to his memory. So until we next see you Mortimer Safe Home, Safe Home..Safe Home Where you go.
