I can't say I knew Moss when he was famous but I did spend some quality time in his company in Bill's pub in Cork when he was at UCC. I chatted with his brother Brian on a few occasions too. He was a modest man and I always thought he had many of the characteristics of Mick Malloy from Connemara who also did a lot to interest many of us GAA men with the game of rugby. I hope his wife and daughters always keep strong.
We would like to send our condolences to Peader, Alo & all the family on the passing of Maggie RIP. Thank God for her long life & she is on her journey to be at peace & reunited with the rest of her loved ones.
A hero on a rugby pitch, to teammates who played with him and to the supporters who watched on from the sidelines, the central part of every gathering of people, he once said to me Short visits often make for Long friendships, you will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered
You were a very special one Moss. I am proud to have shared many great days with you and to see you and talk to you in many environments.
You were always a gentleman and, as one of the lads remarked , "you were a quiet man for one that didn't have to be".
God will be happy to meet one of his finest.
Rest easy Moss and i hope we share a pint somewhere down the line.

A true gentleman (in every sense) and will be sadly missed.
I saw Moss playing gaelic football for ucc v carbery back in the early seventies "those big hands". Saw him on the Irish team that won the triple crown in 82 "the moss keane charge" would lift lansdowne. Thank God great memories may he rest in peace.
When we remember Moss we always will always do so with a smile. A great player and a great man. May he rest in peace.

I am deeply saddened to hear of the death of this wonderful sportsman and human being. I am old enough to remember him playing Gaelic football but it was only a few years ago that I had the great pleasure of meeting him. My sincere condolences to all his family.
I came into contact with Moss during my time in the State Laboratory. Our work-related interactions progressed to a bit of banter over a pint of beer. It was a great pleasure to be in his company in either situation. My deep sympathies to his wife and family.
So glad I got to meet Moss and Anne last year in Kilkee while they were out for a walk. I will treasure the handshake and the fact that they joined us in a bit of banter at our table outside the Cafe. He is a huge loss to his family and to Ireland. Suaimhneas.
So sorry to hear of the great man's passing, my deepest sympathy to his family. I lost one of my own brothers with the same illness earlier this year so my heart goes out to you all to see Moss taken away from you. Remember all the happy times you spent with him and it might get a bit easier for you to get through the lonely times without Moss. May he rest in peace.
To a great legend rest in peace.

God speed and thank you for so many memorable moments of pleasure in watching your wonderful performances. Many condolences to your wife and two daughters. In my prayers
In the early 70's, when rugby wasn't, for different reasons, as widely played or supported as it is today, along came Moss Keane, from a little village-Currow outside Castleisland and proved to every young lad with aspirations of greatness that it could be achieved and that they too, could one day play for Ireland. We have admired and respected him since then and will continue to do so. Our condolences to all his family in Currow and Portarlington

I met Moss once, when I was very small. I walked into this giant of a man and hurt myself in the process. Moss was beside himself making sure I was ok and apologising to my parents and me. Deepest sympathies to his wife and children. Don't mourn the loss, celebrate the life.
