The Kelly Clan Association send their sincere sympathies on the death of Bishop Fiachra. I personally met him at a Kelly Clan Gathering in Miltown Malbay in 2002 when we shared some family histories. We discovered that there was a link between us and he was very gracious, kind and generous to me. I will be representing the Clan at the mass in Ennis on Friday

To the Family of Bishop Fiachra, to the Irish Province the Franciscan Friars, and to the Archdiocese of Dublin, I would like to offer my condolence to you at this time at the passing of Bishop Fiachra. I met Bishop Fiachra for the first time on the day of my Presbyteral (Priestly) Ordination in June, 1995. I found Bishop Fiachra very human, and obviously that day has left a very deep impression on my life. I met Fiachra years later in a hospital institution recovering from sickness, again I recognised that beautiful humanity in what was a difficult place for him. Thank you Bishop Fiachra for your witness as servant of God, a service of unconditional love to all peoples in your scope. May your now rest with your Maker, and pray for the rest of us still on our pilgrim journey.
Deepest sympathy to all relatives and Friends R.I.P. Bishop Fiachra
