Michael's unmatched genius,skill and professional devotion to giving of his very best to his patients resulted in my shattered and fragmented leg being saved from amputation following his many hours of reconstruction, piece by piece, jigsaw style. Such was his brilliant work that a future knee replacement requirement has not been necessary 37 years+8 months later! Such a man well deserves to rest forever with the angels and saints.

Heart felt condolences on his passing. Michael was the brother of our neighbours Bob& Sheila and I met him when I was just 15 years old out in croom.

He was a wonderful surgeon and always had the warmest smile and kind words. I was there for months and he always popped in to say hello. I’ll never forget him for his kindness. You must feel so heartbroken,

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Michael. He and Valerie were lovely neighbours. Always out in the garden looking after the roses and grass. He did love those roses! Chats were always interesting with Michael, whether it be politics, education or Munster rugby. He will be missed.
