I miss you Mum .
We offer Joe and family our condolences on the loss of Muriel; our own recent loss of Eileen (Muriel's cousin) reminds us that they were so very close in personality, ever positive and fun-loving. Rest in Peace.
Dear Joe & family,
We loved her in life. She was extra special. She was beautiful in every way. I was close to her. I was looking forward to seeing her next Summer. My heart is sad today but happy for Muriel, because she is with our Savior and all our loved ones. I will miss her. I am consoled with the truth that we will meet in Heaven. Love and blessings to you all.
My heart breaks with the Briddock family at the loss of our beloved Granny, Muriel. We became family when I was 7 years old, and I’ve known your love ever since. It was too few of times that I had the honor of being in your presence, and for that I will always be sad. We did have many stateside visits, a wondrous family vacation to Portugal, and finally a gorgeous trip to visit you and Joe in Ireland! What great times together! To my Briddock family: Know that I am here for you during this devastating time, and even though I couldn’t be with you in person during this time, I carry you all in my heart! Muriel leaves a beautiful legacy behind as shown through the family that loves her.
Love,
Chris
Joe, my deepest condolences on the passing of Muriel. She was a lovely woman with a kind soul. She will be missed. I will keep you and the Briddock family in my thoughts and prayers.
Deepest sympathy to Joe, and to all the Biddock family on the death of Muriel. A beautiful former resident of the wonderful Athenry Road, in Tuam. I met the lovely Donelan sisters, Muriel, Joan and their brother Séamus at the reunion held a number of years ago for Athenry Road and Tubberjarlath, they were all so pleased to be there, sadly all of them are now deceased, Muriel was so gracious as to write to me, to thank Paul Keating and myself and the committee for the invitation. May Muriels gentle soul now rest in heavenly peace.
Deepest condolences to Susan and all the Briddock family at the passing of their beloved Muriel. May she Rest in Peace 🙏
I am Muriel's first born grandchild. It was because of me that she be forever bestowed the name - Granny.

A title I think she wore almost as perfectly as a cashmere jumper.

I grew up in America, a world away. Through corded phones, birthday cards and every other Christmases, I had no doubt that granny loved and missed me.

My most cherished and magical memories were as a young girl visiting Ireland, having a cup of tea and toast in the morning with Granny and admiring how much she loved life.

Now that I live on this side of the ocean, I feel lucky and thankful to have had the chance to see her more often then ever before.

But I remember how it felt to love someone, and to know they love me..from so far away.

Although the distance is quite a bit longer now...Im still getting that same feeling I did as a kid.

A feeling that no matter where in the world I am....granny is somewhere out there with love in her heart for me.

Its a feeling that really comforted me then, and does now in a different way..and I hope it can comfort you as well.

Love you granny xoxoxo

So sorry to hear of the sad passing of Muriel, I remember her so well when she and her family visited her parents in Athenry Road , Tuam back
In 70’ and 80’s. May her gentle soul rest in peace .
It was with a sense and surprise and sadness that I learned of Muriel’s death yesterday evening. It brought back many happy memories of times in the past when the “Donnellans” would gather in Dundrum, to talk and reminisce about “the good old days”, They were evenings of laughter and easy talk, and Muriel would always have a big spread washed down with plenty of wine, tea and “minerals”. Joe, myself and Iggy McG were the only “outsiders” and we would have to keep quiet while the conversation went on and on and on. Muriel was an excellent host and had an infectious sense of humour. She will be sadly missed by Joe and both her immediate and extended family. Ar dheis de go raibh a ainm
