Miley was a very special person and was dearly loved by everyone who met him. He had such a great love for doing his special Job "Santa" and even without the suit, children when they saw him they believed that he really was the real Santa. I extend my sympathy to John; to Eddie and Collie;to all the relatives and friends of Miley; to Vincent and all the Jordan family. There is great sadness in the locality and beyond following the death of a such a lovely sound fellow, who I would have had the pleasure of knowing since National School days in MKB. On the last occasion that our paths crossed recently, it was that we were both probably getting to grips with chopsticks in the Lemon Tree. During my late teens and very early twenties, the only two places worth getting a Friday/Saturday night party invitation to was Balfe's or Talbotstown for a keg-fest, one a stone's throw from the other. May Miley rest in peace.

Many years ago Miley and four of us met in a house for a few drinks which soon ran out.But Miley came to the rescue when he pulled a bottle of poitin out of his pocket. What a night and what a man .
