Myra was such a cherished member of our family. She was so kind to us all thoughtout her life, and especially in caring for our granny towards the end of her life. I have such happy memories of time spent with Myra in Castlebar. She was one of a kind and will be very missed by us all.

To all of Myra's family and particularly her nieces and nephews whom she spoke so fondly of I offer my sincere sympathy on her passing. Only heard of her death today and regret having missed her funeral.
I first got to know Myra many year's ago as a public health nurse visiting my children as babies. I then discovered her late brother Michael was married to my first cousin the late Kathleen Gillespie. Have visited each other many times since and found her to be the most caring, compassionate and kindest human being I've ever encountered. She will be so missed by her loving family but also by the many friends and neighbours whom she knew and nursed over her years in the nursing profession.
May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Myra was a wonderful friend of mine for almost 63 years. She was kind, gentle and caring. In her nursing years she went above and beyond the call of duty, always ensuring that her patients were well cared for, comfortable and reassured.

I will especially miss Myra’s hospitality. Anytime I was in back in Castlebar, I would be sure to stop in and say hello. I always loved sitting in Myra’s kitchen, snug between two radiators, being well fed and hearing all the news of old friends, family, of her doings in her beloved garden, of the cats who came to be fed, the birds that came to sing. Wherever Myra is now, I know she’s been welcomed with open arms.
