We have the fondest memories of Nancy when she & Denis visited her "second home" in B/cleary..Mam,being an only child & a cousin ,loved havin Polly,Josie ,Nancy to stay during their summer holidays, & later on Joe lived with us. Tales of fun & divilment recalled,as young ladies let loose from school & Portlaois town, to enjoy the farm freedom. Then when she married Denis,a Ballyfin man,they came regularly to visit his home in Pallas ,to Michael her late brother & to see mam & dad. We,as teenagers loved their calls,especially the treats! Nancy was beautiful,stylish & good humoured.a dapper pair - Denis played football with us, went for a drink with dad, he even pierced my ears !
She was so proud of ye- Pat, Ann, Susan,Denis & of the grandchildren- ye have done her proud with the loving care she received for many years.
The last member of that Hughes line has departed; Nancy will have lots to chat about with her beloved Denis,her siblings, with Maureen & Jimmy together in heaven.
