I have fond memories of Michael Minihane and Jack Power coming to the Clonakilty Convent of Mercy, Debs Dances, over the years, to take that most important Photograph of the auspicious occasion.
Mrs. Minihane and Mrs. Power would accompany their husbands, to admire the Debutants in their beautiful "White" gowns.
It was always a pleasure to meet them and have an enjoyable chat.

Sincere condolances to Denis, Carmel, Sean, Anne, Clare and all your Families our your Mum, Nancy' sad passing, I remember as little boy watching you Dad Micheal fine tuning the printing press in the shop assisted by Johny the Foundry and my late father Peadar, at times the temperature reached such a level one could temper the finest of steel, ocasionally it was high enough to produce pig iron, the big door at the back of the shop directly opposite the front would gently opened and Nancy would appear hands full and normality accompanied her by time Nancy left the shop the printing press was purring, one thing I never heard that door opening or banging closed, twas like being in the presence of a ballerina, when Patsy and I started our married live in Bridge St over Cahalanes Nancy and Micheal were the truest of friends and neighbours, they touched with goodness the lives of all they in their lives, may the Lord grant them happiness and an odd visit to the printing shop in heaven, God Bless
