It’s hard to put in words how much you will be missed. I’m glad you’ve got your peace now. There isn’t another mother in law out there like you, that I’m sure of! I’ll miss our days out where we put the world to rights, I’ll miss your unwavering support and I’ll miss our arguments too! Most of all I’ll miss our Greggs dates! You knew me better than I knew myself! I miss having your advice on hand already… I really don’t know what I’ll do without you! X

A remarkable lady, Nancy was a truly generous and warm person and always gave so much of her time to help others whether it was at the side of the football pitch or on a parent’s association. Our boys were always welcome in her home and spent many happy times there. Nancy, you were a powerhouse. Over the years I often found myself searching for your posts and comments - as I knew this is where I would find accuracy oftentimes amongst the complete confusion, panic and frustration we quite often seen in the Early Years sector. You were straight and to the point, no messing and no grey areas which is what I liked and admired most about what I knew of this “online persona”. I never met you in person, but we often had the same train of thought - I hope you knew just how much you helped the rest of us, and dragged us all along particularly where funding streams where changing and evolving.
I will miss the debates and discussions you began, yours is a gap that will be difficult to fill in the forums, and throughout the sector. Rest in Peace

Im in shock, I'm so very sorry to hear this news today. I had my disagreements with Nancy over the years, but we had respect for each other and I called upon her vast knowledge many many times. She was always very helpful to me.

I am so sorry to read this. I often PM’d Nancy for different things and she always, without fail directed me to the correct information. She was a wealth of knowledge and although everyone didn’t always agree with her, one thing is for certain she wanted and fought for the best for our sector, she was always ahead of the game.

Really shocked to hear this sad news. Nancy always had the facts about anything to do with the preschool sector and was so generous in sharing her information with us all. She didn't suffer fools gladly and never hesitated in calling out those she saw erring.....because she was always right! She'll be truly missed and will never be replaced.
