I had the pleasure of working with Neal in IKEA for many many years. When I started in IKEA I was only new to the working world and during this time he took me under his wing and showed me the ropes passing me on all of his knowledge. He was a mentor to me and from day 1 I looked up to him. I had the pleasure of not only calling him a colleague, but most of all, a friend. He will be sadly missed.

I am terribly sorry for your loss and can't think of how hard this must be for you all.

I was lucky enough to get to know Neal over the past two years working with the Simon Community. He was such great company and also very committed to his volunteer work - always so welcoming and helpful . I was so shocked and saddened to hear about his passing. Dear Andrew, Trish, and Jenny, It is with shock and great sadness we learned of the death of Neal. If there was anything we could do to lessen your pain, we would. RIP Neal.

Neal and I shared a lane on many evenings swimming with Eastern Bay. He was a great swimmer and a really nice bloke.
He always helped take the ropes out.
After a recent training session, we had a good chat in the car park afterwards and I felt like I was really starting to get to know him.
I'm grateful that our paths crossed but I'm also very sad that we won't share a lane again in this life.

Nothing was ever too much trouble for Neal, he was only too happy to help anyone. I feel fortunate to have had the privilege to work with such a genuine and caring person for several years at IKEA. A void had been left which can never be filled. Neal will be sorely missed. May he rest in peace, and his family find comfort in knowing that he was loved by so many.

I had the privilege of meeting Neal while volunteering with the Simon Community. He was a gentleman from the moment I met him. Always there to listen and a great voice of reason. Devastating news and I will sorely miss his company on the Sunday night strolls through the streets of Dublin.
