My sincere sympathies to all the Sheehan family on the death of Ned. I have very fond memories of him in our house when I was growing up. His presence will be missed in the valley but I'm sure his legacy will live on. May he Rest in Peace.

I am thankful for the Information he told his Son Jim, about The Old Hayes Family Homestead Ruins in The Nire Valley of Kilkeany Mountain in County Waterford, Ireland Information where my 2nd Great-Grandfather Maurice Hayes, his Hayes Siblings and their Parents John Hayes and Johanna Mulcahy Hayes (Nora) use live at and Ned would’ve been so proud that his Son Jim told that to Hayes Family Descendants like me and others to learn about their life story living there and surviving The Great Potato Famine of Ireland and for visitors to check out the Site where the Hayes once lived before Ned and the rest of the Sheehan Family took over that Property that Hayes Family once lived at.

Although I have never met Ned Sheehan, I am grateful for his Son Jim hearing him share the remarkable information on my Hayes Family History Ancestry, may God Bless Ned’s Soul as always, and sounds like he was a great Storyteller as well.
