Eunan Declan & Catherine my sincere condolences on the passing of your Dad. Ned was one of the nicest men I have ever met and a brilliant neighbor and great friend to my parents. I have very fond memories of Ned and all the Smyth family over the years in Mill Street. He always had time for chat. I was on holidays and only hear last night of Neds passing so sorry I missed the funeral.

My sincere condolences to Catherine, Eunan and Declan on the passing of your Dad, We were so lucky to have Ned as our neighbour, an absolute gentleman. I only heard the sad news last night (19/4/).

We knew Ned very well mostly as a charitable worker .. driver for Iill people to attend clinics, indefatigable & longtime loyal helper to various charities especially the Armagh Annual Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes. He was so kind, caring & practical & his wicked sense of humour after a successful venture was wonderful ! He has a great sense of appropriate response to every occasion including that marvellous smile. Rest well Ned, you were friend to God & so many.
