My sincerest condolences to Neil’s family and close friends. I am deeply shocked and saddened to learn of his passing. I spent many happy times dancing to Neil’s music and hanging out with him at Zoe’s and Telefunkin. He was a such a kind and good person. The world is a lesser place without him. May he Rest In Peace x

Neil you a were a true gentle man. Tragic to have such a warm a giving character pass. Thanks for all the great memories you left with me over all the years. My deepest sympathy goes out to your family and friends alike. May you rest in peace.

Neil was a great pal of mine for the last 30 years, I'm really going to miss our chats, catch ups and the odd Saturday or Sunday afternoon in town. Loads of happy memories of trips to West Cork and even to Spain and London!
Neil was a great listener. I'm sorry I never got to tell him properly how much help he was to me down through the years.
Neil certainly won't be forgotten by his large circle of friends.
Rest easy buddy. We'll keep the music playing.

I knew Neil from around Bishopstown in our late teens and through our college years, Zoe's etc. He was a really sound guy, who I hit it off with immediately. He was kind, open, enthusiastic, interesting and fun. Someone I always enjoyed being around. He had an infectious passion for life, particularly DJing, which he was very skilled at. And we all benefitted from getting to listen to his tunes over the years. I'm sorry I hadn't seen more of him in recent times.
Neil was a real gentleman who will be sadly missed, but always fondly remembered. RIP Neil.

Neil was one of life’s real rockstars. So few have the ability to make others feel like they are the only one the in the room. It was always a joy to be in his presence. His legacy will live on.

My thoughts and best wishes are with Neil's family at this difficult time. I have been proud to count myself as a friend of Neil's for over half my life. He was an absolute gent, such a caring soul and always had time for anyone who needed him; even us heathens who didn't understand music like he did. He was generous with his time, and never made you feel like you were imposing if you need a favour or a mix. He DJ'd our wedding, or at least nearly did, the band went on too long, but that's another story. Needless to say we were all quite upset, bar Neil who took it all calmly in his stride.
Musically Neil was an innovator, but more importantly to him he was an educator. He was not a music snob. It was irrelevant to him if a tune was from fat boy slim, or fat boy down the road. If it was good, it was good and he could tell you why without belittling you for your lack of knowledge. His knowledge was encyclopaedic.
He can count himself as one of the very few that I have never had an angry exchange with, which says alot as at times I can be a bit cantankerous. At times he could be too, but my deep respect for him as a man would never allow such a situation to arise.
Neil, you have helped me more than you will ever know, and I deeply regret not being able to do the same for you.

Neil had that rare quality of personality and character: an innate ability to relate to all types of people- generous of spirit, always warm, always open hearted, never judging. Neil was a good friend of ours and we had lots of great memorable times together. He was a true gent. I'll miss his sense of humour, fun loving attitude and his passion for life. We've been numbed and deeply saddened by his passing. Jerry and all his family are in our thoughts.

Neil is a diamond guy, there aren't many around like him, kind, generous, loving, warm and funny. We have been friends for most our lives and enjoyed his company hugely. My deepest condolences to the family of Neil. What a top class guy, we had so many great times together, times I will always remember and fondly look back on, he will be sorely missed. Have to mention his skills as a dj, what an ear for music he had, so many great times we spent listening to music, talking about music and making the occasional mix, fun times with an all round gent. Privileged to say I was his friend and will always cherish the good times we had, rest easy fella.

Neil was a unique character, he was incredibly creative, smart, witty and an excellent DJ. I worked with him on a few projects over the years. I'm so sad to hear he has passed. I will not forget Neil or the soul satisfying sets he spun, that always gave me a sense of pure joy. Condolences to his family and friends.
