When I first met Neil it was upstairs in Marx Brothers on George’s Street back in the late 80’’s or early 90’s. He told me not to be ashamed of my pigeon chest.
He was known as Wolf-man in my circle for his (almost) mono brow and strong, silent demeanor in the face of chaos on the door of Sides nightclub on Dame street. You could rely on Neil to cut through the BS with a grin. Even then he didn’t drink so he always made a lot more sense than we did.
He was betrothed this year to my beautiful friend and his long time partner Sandy.
We are gutted by his unexpected loss and will never forget Neil: father, son, brother, husband, lover, friend, and rare thing in this new world; a real man.
He is an inspiration to all of his boys and to the friends who loved his dry humor and his absolute uniqueness on this earth.

Sandy, my deepest sympathy on the passing of Neil this week. I remember him fondly from the few occasion we had met.
