Neil joined our team in January and I was very fortunate to have had the pleasure of working with him but unfortunate that I didn't know him longer. He was exceptionally bright and good-humored, kind and his passing is felt deeply amongst his colleagues and me. To all of Neil’s family,
I had the pleasure of teaching Neil mathematics at Belvedere. His class was brilliant at Maths and he was probably the best of them all. He won the Duggan Award in 6th year as the leading Maths student of the whole year. In the days since I heard the tragic news about his death, I have looked at a lovely photo of Neil getting his award from Angela Dempsey. He looks very dashing and radiantly happy.
