I recently discovered that Neil had died. I can't describe how heartbroken I am at this news. Neil and I worked together at my wine shop in San Francisco for two years. He was a friend, colleague, support, and wonderful companion. I spent a great two weeks with him touring Ireland, and thanks to him discovered the great joys of Ireland and the Irish people. We spent many wonderful times wine tasting in the Bay Area and Napa Valley.

Dear Rita, Finola and Michael, I am so sad to hear the heartbreaking news of Neil's sudden death. "Our wee Neil" as Mum often called him, will never be forgotten. There was only one Neil McFadden in this world and he was a very very special person that left a lasting impression on any one he met with his flamboyant and loveable personality. He will stay in my heart and I will smile every time I think of him. He was so genuine and brought a lot of joy to a lot of people and as Uncle Colm would have said, it certainly didn't go unnoticed.
