So very sorry to hear of the passing of my Irish friend of 50 plus years. We met at Leicester Polytechnic and along with our fellow American student we formed a lasting friendship. I can see Neil now leaving for Spartanburg Airport wearing his Kilt to fly to New York to watch Ireland play in the World Cup. Only me left now goodbye my dear old friend. Paul Grant and Family

I was fortunate back in the 70's to spend so many fun and wild times with Neil, Marion, Robert, Noelle, Mick and myself. From our camping in Ballydavid, to our late night dangerous boat trips off Dunowen, we sure had such laughter and craic together. And those words sum up for me the essence of Neil O Donovan! He loved life.
Sadly now all three (Carbery) men have passed on and are sorely missed.
I was speaking with my brother John in NZ about Neil, and he also had some great times with, and memories of Neil. He sends his love to you all.
