We have great memories growing up in Clonard with the whole family. Even in school he was a real nice young man.. I was sorry to have missed him when we were home on holidays.

Neil was such an interesting person that could stay chatting forever when he called in, about any subject. My dad, More, always enjoyed meeting up and retelling times when they grew up together, Dwyers in Grovestown and Dwyers in Clonkelly. Cousins in school together, hurling together, it sounded like they lived it well, a great childhood. It was lovely meeting him over the last few years he will be missed.

He loved catching up with Neil on his trips back home. I never had the pleasure of meeting Neil at any of the Dwyer family reunions he organised but I did hear all about them.
