Neill O'Neill

Truly shocked and saddened to hear of the news of Neill’s untimely death. I never met Neill but a friend of mine who was a great friend of his told me many a story of how great the man himself was.

My heart goes out with deepest sympathy to all of the family. I was so sorry to read about your loss. I cannot imagine the heartbreak you all must feel, but I know that your grief must be overwhelming. I do hope that you are able to find some comfort in the caring thoughts of friends, the love of your family and in your sweet memories. May you also find comfort in the assurance that “God is near to those who are broken hearted and crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18) and that “He is the father of tender mercies who comforts us in all our trials” (2 Corinthians 1:3,4). He is able to give you the strength necessary to endure this difficult time. Please accept my sincere condolences.

I spoke to Neill a few weeks ago about the Yew trees in Mayo (Maigh Éo) and he said the Yew Trees in Maigh Éo were fine....this is shocking news but they say God spoke before Man and only the good die young. My heartfelt condolences to all his colleagues and next of kin. Suaimhneas siorai suit...
