So very sorry to hear of Neville's passing. I worked with Neville back in the old days in ICS - a perfect gentleman, good natured and very kind - a lovely boss. My one quirky memory when he photocopied he always fanned out the paper and to this day I automatically do the same thing and remember him every time. We always remember when we lived in Ballinteer back in the 80’s Neville helped dig our car out of the snow. He was that kind of man, always ready to help and nothing was any trouble to him. So sorry we couldn’t be with you during these past few days, but our hearts are there with you all.

To Val, Jonathan and Karen, sincere condolences on Neville’s passing, a kind and lovely person. Rest in peace.
I was shocked and deeply saddened by the news of Neville's untimely passing. I fondly remember (back in the mid-sixties) when Neville was organist and choirmaster at Sandymount Methodist Church - he was brilliant and had great talent, as was also shown later in his photography. But above all, Neville had a genuinely friendly nature, always greeting you with a smile and making you feel at ease. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. My sincere condolences to dearest Val and all the family - you are in my thoughts and prayers at this very sad time. God bless.
Fond memories of Neville from St. Ann's choir and Wesley College also remembering Clive, Bill and Daphne

Dearest Val, Johnathan, Karen and of course Hugo!
It has been an Absolute pleasure to get to know and care for Neville over the last year and a half! He was a true gentleman and always had a story and smile to share even through this turbulent journey!
Know that he was immensely proud of you all and would often tell me your achievements and what a great family and support he had!
It wasn’t a surprised as Neville was such a cherished patient of ours!
Unfortunately I wasn’t there for his last week with us but it was an honour to have been his nurse! Thinking of ye.

My condolences to all the Dukes family at this sad time. Neville was always a very pleasant person to work with in ICS. May he rest in peace.
On our behalf - and on behalf of my sister Gwen and brother John - we were very sad to receive the news about Neville. Gwen, John and I were first cousins (the children of Ada, Neville's aunt) and whilst time, ageing and geography have limited our contact in recent years, we did keep in touch and get updates from time to time. Neville was a lovely man to know. He lived his life well - settled in himself and content with the uncertainties of life. His centredness on family and friendship were an example to us all. We appreciated his appreciation of nature, of landscapes and his dogs - with which I found close resonances. We are thinking of Val, Jonathan and Karen especially - with all the close family circle. We hope you find comfort in your memories and in knowing that - whilst he has gone too soon - suffering has ended. Also, in that you had time to be with each other in these latter days and to have those conversations that can only be had once.
We can't be with you on Tuesday at the funeral but our thoughts will very much be with you and we will take time to respectfully remember you all. Blessings. On behalf of Ada's family, David Bolton

Sincere sympathy to Val, Jonathan and Karen on the death of Neville and I pray you will find comfort in his memory during this sad time. He was a great help to me when we both explored the arboreal world and spent some time “Stopping by Woods” since I had the good fortune to meet him almost 20 years ago. I really admired him as a friend and marvellous photographer. He had a keen eye for nature and an inherent ability to capture vividly the changing landscape, its flora and fauna. He gave me some beautiful images over the years and we discussed a further adventure as recently as a few weeks ago and despite his ill-health Neville was positive as always and determined to make it back to the woodlands of Wexford and beyond. Sadly, it’s not to be. I’ll miss him greatly for his kindness, creativity and sense of humour. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
Dearest Val, Jonathan and Karen I was so sorry to hear of Neville's death. My love and thoughts are with you all at this difficult time.
