Nevin CRANSTON

My deepest sympathy and condolences to Trevor and the Cranston family on the death of Nevin. He looked after my cars for years and was a brilliant mechanic. He was a wonderful and talented man who could put his hand to anything. He built a percussion rack for my gongs and cymbals, which I still use to this day. A man of 'the old school,' he was so honest, helpful and trustworthy and a gentleman. I was always welcomed so warmly into his home and we had great chats in the kitchen over a cup of tea . Also remembering Sylvia's (rip) lovely buns too. Nevin, old friend, may you rest in peace. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.

He always welcomed us so warmly into your home and was genuinely delighted to hear all our news. He had such a beautiful presence, and we will truly miss seeing him on our next visit "home."

We only got to know Nevin in later life. We bought his MotorHome when he was a young man of 89. We became good friends since then and he was always so interested in life, people and new technology.
