I am so sorry to hear of Niall's passing. He was a good friend and colleague for several years at CIBC. He always had a quick wit and a wicked sense of humor and I will miss having a Pint or two with him whenever we crossed paths. Please accept my deepest sympathies for your loss. Niall will be greatly missed.

My heart is broken. I grew up a stones throw from Nialls house. For me Niall was like a brother. We were friends since before I had my first memory of life. Niall was the most generous person I ever met. The fun times we had as little kids on the street and up the jacko I will never forget. The amount of laughs shared, times we had each others backs and heart to hearts in good times and bad will live with me forever.
God be with you Bolesy. Rest in Peace brother.

Those privileged to know him can affirm his cherished roles as a friend and mentor. I remember discussing my first trip to Europe, and Niall's genuine interest led him to enthusiastically assist in planning my itinerary, prioritizing my safety.

Niall was a great leader, mentor and a very warm person. He utterly cared about his teammates. On our occasional one on one chats, he was quite interested in knowing about history of Aga khan and his horses and wanted to learn more. He will always be remembered in our memories.

We are so sorry to hear of this sad news of Niall’s passing. It has been shocking news to Immo and I. Niall truly was one of a kind and we will miss him deeply.
I first met Niall when he joined the treasury leader at Canadian Western Bank in 2015. He brought a big personality, big ideas and passion to our team. He set the bar high, expected a lot, and believed we had big potential. He was smart and shared his knowledge and really cared about what happened with our team. I learned a lot from him.
As the years rolled along, my husband, Immo and I got to know him and Jess better. A few beers after work, hanging out at the Edmonton Folk festival, sharing laughs and lots of fish talk. He was a wonderful storyteller. We always thought we would be spending more time with him. He is so missed.

Niall came across the pond to Toronto to work with me at CIBC. It was still in the teeth of the financial crisis and while Canada might have had a better time of it than Ireland, it wasn’t a walk in the park.

During those years and those that followed Niall became a friend as well as a colleague and I was happy to have the chance to visit him in Nanaimo.

We spoke last on November 21 and I was looking forward to seeing him again sometime soon.

A good man.

To Seamus, Shay, Edel and Cathriona. It was with the deepest shock and sadness that I learned of my childhood friend Niall's passing.
At the age of 4 we both started in st. Cronin's national school in the same class, and at the age of 17, we both left St. Finians to make our way in the world.
To say Niall was a cut above the rest of us is an understatement. He was beyond smart, always top of the class, straight A's, but always deeply engaged in the fun and messing we all got up to in the back row of the class.
As 17 year old lads, we both watched the movie "Wall Street" and Niall could recite Gordon Gecko's lines verbatim and at the drop of a hat.
Donaghy, Shawsy, Cullo, Mick Emery, Leon, Kearnsey, Anto and the gang had our seats on a Saturday night upstairs in the Lord mayor's, where many a story was told and Bolesy we always the most animated.
We both shared a house with Fran O'Neill in Gracepark road after we left school, and the stories of those parties are the stuff of legend.
As teenagers, Niall raised the bar for what we could achieve, and boy, did he achieve, settling for nothing less than the top of the pile.
He was my friend and my mate and whenever we spoke, it was like we had never grown up.
Niall will live large in our memories.
