Niall Burke

I just learned today of the untimely passing of Niall.
Niall was a pure gentlemen and had a great insight into many things both technical and otherwise, and was always very helpful to everyone.
May I pass my sincere condolences to his family, friends and loved ones. May he rest in peace.

So sorry to hear of Niall's death - I had met Niall at many fire service events and when I needed some advice on a subject he offered me great help and was so generous with his knowledge and conversation. He was warm and generous person. My condolences to his family, many colleagues and friends. Rest peacefully Niall.

I was so sorry to hear of Niall's passing. We shared many scuba trips over the years. He was an absolute gentleman and always helpful. We'll miss him greatly.

My deepest sympathies to Niall's family. I knew Niall through scuba diving and met him on many trips over the years. A lovely person,, and really sorry to hear of his death.

I was always glad to see the Land Rover Defender pulling up at the pier - the unflappable was going diving too, and sure he’d have the tool box ‘n all if needed. Hadn’t realised there wouldn’t be another chat as we headed out on the rib, but there you go. Had the last laugh with that torrential downpour on us today, but you’ll be missed above and below water Niall. RIP

Elaine, Ceallach, Conan & Caolan - my deepest sympathies to you & all the Burke family on Niall's passing.

Niall and I started out our careers together working in the O'Reilly Institute at the back of Trinity. We worked together in MVT and again for many years in XSiL. He was a great engineer with a great mind - an excellent problem solver. He was the "go-to guy" in XSiL for solving any sort of technical issue. He didn't suffer fools gladly and of course, he had a wicked sense of humour.

A great guy who will be sorely missed.
