Niall Carter

We are so sad to learn of Mr Carter’s passing. He taught our daughter Aoife in Lusk national School. She loved him and we loved him too. He was a wonderful teacher, always so positive and kind to his students. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Absolutely heartbroken to hear of the passing of Niall. There are no words when a soul as beautiful and gentle as Niall's is gone so soon.

My sincere condolences to his parents Noleen and Paddy, his siblings Jimmy, Elaine and Louise and his partner Francesco.

Niall had such an infectious personality, he'd always put a smile on your face and was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. May his humour, love and kindness provide comfort to all who mourn him at this difficult time.

I'll cherish the unforgettable fun filled years we got to spend together with endless laughter, craic and shenanigans. Thanks for being such a great friend and a memorable part of my life.
You'll always be fondly remembered and much loved. Myself and "Clinto" will miss you dearly.

To my dear best friend Niall, I still can't believe your beautiful, loving, caring soul has left us. Your presence from my first week in secondary school to now has always been a gift and life changing. You were an energy of life and helped form the me today without question. Memories we shared and experiences were incredible.Our days in school, bingo halls with your nana, the gaeltacht, Maynooth Uni, a tipple putting up the Christmas tree and our New Years Eve trips, stags in Wales, Turkey, Pride Festival, our epic 7 week vacation to Calfornia (all we had booked was Celine Dion and the rest came to us through The Secret mantras!- ask, believe and recieve),New York, Amersterdam,Belgium, etc. Anywhere we were together I felt safe, happy and laughed from the pit of my stomach thanks to you. We both loved music and saw all our pop queens together and sang each song with joy and excitement, they were stylin!At home we shared so many parties, walks in town chatting to locals, cafes, wine, movies. They say people come into our life for a reason, to teach us things that we never knew before. This goes beyond your remarkable ability to teach academics in a classroom setting, you brought it to my classroom of life. Every Thelma has her Louise, every Oprah her Gayle King, every Madeline her Helen, and every James( Séamus) his bestie Niall. Keep sending the love from above. Keep my bestie happy in heaven. To Niall, how lucky I am to have met you and called you a friend. If I wasn’t anything but “devastated” at your passing you would definitely have a smart and funny quip to say. When I remember many of my core memories of my youth you are almost always involved front and center with your fun and fearless take no prisoners attitude. Your Music (bette Davis eyes with a kitchen utensil as your microphone), and movies and Tv shows the final scene of cruel intentions (don’t you people have any respect!) and oh so many of my day to day sayings exist because of you (Niallisms if you will). You had the most rarest of talents that you could speak to anyone young and old and make them your friend with your fun and welcoming soul. In more recent years our paths in life deviated, but I was always so thankful to have been able to meet you again with kindness and empathy. It was always so nice to meet you and Francesco while you were out doing your shopping or just living your beautiful little life together. It filled me with so much gratitude to see. I will miss you and sinsearly hope that your kind and gentle soul is at rest. Keep on Stylin’

I am so sorry to hear of Nialls passing. He was a lovely teacher to two of my children. Once in class he announced his sibling had just had a baby and he was so overjoyed. It was so nice that he shared his happiness with his class at the time. He will be missed. RIP.

I'm so sorry to hear about Niall's passing. I want to offer my heartfelt condolences to his family and to his partner, Francesco. I had the privilege of working with Niall at HFJNS. Niall had the room across from mine during my first year at HFJNS and I couldn’t have asked for anyone better to have been beside. He was always so generous with his knowledge, was full of patience and kindness, and quick to share a laugh. The kids and staff absolutely loved him—he had an infectious laugh and brought so much joy to the school. He will always be remembered!! He was an amazing baker and made the best cakes.

Niall was a teaching colleague of mine in Lusk National School , where his teaching career began . He gave wonderful service to the school community of Lusk National school, pupils, staff and parents loved Mr. Carter.
Niall embodied everything that’s good about the human spirit , he was kind , generous ,thoughtful, helpful and considerate .He bubbled over with joy , laughter and a sense of mischievousness that accompanied him at all times . He left an indelible mark on all he met .
He shared his spiritual side too, he was devoted to the Siena Nuns in Drogheda, many’s the time taking petitions to them on behalf of staff members .
I frequently gave him lifts ,after school, to Lusk train station ,I’ll always remember the chats and laughs shared .

Our sincere condolences to Niall's partner and family. Niall was our daughter's teacher in 1st class over 10 years ago and to this day she still talks about him and says he was her favourite teacher ever. When she was having a hard time, he really went out of his way to get her through it. We cannot put into words the impact he had on her and the rest of the kids in the class, he really was one in a million and will be a great loss.
