We have just heard of the very sad and unexpected loss of Niall our deepest sympathies to Margaret and the family, may he rest in peace. Christy remembers Niall fondly from his time in St. Pauls.

I’d gotten to know Niall again many years after leaving school, and chatting with him was as if time had stood still - ever the easy-going, friendly, warm person with whom it was so easy to have a laugh.

I am so genuinely saddened to hear of this. Rest in peace, Niall.

I am deeply saddened by the sudden and tragic death of my old pal Niall. I have so many great memories of all the times spent with Niall and alot of Niallisms that are recalled on a daily basis. He was a great character, fearlessly, he grasped every opportunity with both hands and made things happen, living his best life. He was kind, generous, thoughtful, charming, a hard worker and full of fun. He had a great way with people and he could mingle effortlessly in every social circle he would wiggle his way into. He will be missed so much by everybody who knew him and will always be very fondly remembered.

Niall was a great friend to me in primary school, we spent hours designing paper planes, creating crosswords and playing cards down the back of class. He was smart, fun and always seemed to avoid getting into trouble. In secondary school, he continued to check in on me, nearly daily- not an easy task and continued to do so sporadically after we graduated. I last heard from him in November, when he told me about his broken leg and delayed stay in Germany. I only learned of his passing last week, after the funeral. I'm so sorry for your loss. Niall was a kind, thoughtful, presence and I don't know of anyone who had a bad word to say about him. He seemed to blend effortlessly into every social group and charm his way past even the most defensive. I was really fortunate to have known him -my thoughts are with you all.

You couldn't ask for a more loyal, fun-loving and kind-hearted friend than Niall. On what seems like hundreds of adventures over the years, Niall always was able to make everyone he encountered feel warm, welcome and wanted. He had a gift for creating fun, laughter and good times wherever he went and also always went out of his way to make sure those around him were all included and looked after.

Niall was a genuine, gentle one-of-a-kind person who will be deeply and truly missed. The world is a little dimmer and diminished from his sudden and untimely passing.
