I knew Niall in school and although we lost touch when I moved overseas, kept up through mutual friends.
In school, Niall was always there for me, for his friends. For a chat, for a hug and for advice. He was steady and kind and always looked after the girls in the group and kept us safe when out and about.
My deepest condolences to his wife and family in this unexpected and difficult loss.

I am so sorry to learn of the devastating and untimely loss of Niall. Those of us who knew him in childhood days playing on Briar Walk remember a kind and gentle soul, and it's no surprise to read of the wonderful man he became. Sadly our friendship didn't withstand our move to NZ & the all too awkward teenage years.
