Deepest condolences to Niamh s family and friends. Niamh worked on one of the busiest wards ( Nazareth Ward) in the hospital.Yet she always lent me a hand when I was down doing cannulas.Always cheerful, bubbly, kind and up for a laugh.Her light shone through.

I had the absolute pleasure of working on Nazareth ward with Niamh. She was an incredible nurse who showed such exceptional care and dedication to all of her patients and their families. Niamh was such a supportive colleague and friend and so many of my favourite days on Naz were those when I was working with her, as she made even the toughest days easier with her brilliant sense of humour.

She was one in a million and the world is a poorer place without her in it.

I will never forget everyting she did for me and all of us on Nazareth Ward.

She was an excepional nurse, a true leader, a teacher but above all a spectacular friend.

No matter what the circumstance, her opinion was the one i always craved the most. She gave amazing advice and guidance.
I will miss my trips to limerick, her voicenotes and calls as she drove home from UHK, and her overall constant prescence in my life.

I know she will always be watching over her beloved family and her many many friends.

When I started work in Crumlin (Naz) you was the first one to talk to me, asking me loads questions and since them we got along so well, everything you teach me I will never forget and always be thankful to you.
One of the funny memories I have with you, when we went to give the baby a bath, your fake tan starts getting off in the bath, towels and the baby, we laughed so much and manage to finish quickly nobody can see the tan all over the place.
Niamh you will always be remembered and forever be missed. Rest in piece 🤍🕊

My deepest condolences to all of Niamh’s family and friends at this heartbreaking time . I worked with Niamh on Naz in Crumlin. She was so hard working , always there to support staff and parents and a helping hand on the busiest of shifts . She was so funny and witty and got along with everyone . I have fond memories of our chats on nights , laughs and giggles as well as deep conversations. Another lovely memory I have is when I was looking after a baby in the morning I could hear Niamh singing away to the baby in the next cubicle . Her voice was so calming and the babies loved it . We were so sad to see her go back to Limerick but also happy for her at the same time. Niamh was dealt a very cruel blow and the world has lost a bright light . Sending lots of love to all of you ❤️

My deepest sympathies to all of Niamh's family on your devastating loss. I first met Niamh almost 12 years ago on Cashel ward when I was a newly qualified nurse. It wasnt long before I saw Niamh in action and I realised she was exactly the type of nurse I wanted to be. She had a natural nursing intuition and always knew exactly the right thing to say. It was no surprise to us that she excelled in Crumlin and again when she returned to Cashel ward. Her loss will always be felt by the children and parents of Cashel and of course her colleagues. Take comfort in the knowledge that she will never be forgotten and all of our lives are so much richer for having known and loved her.

Dearest Niamh
Its hard to imagine a world without you in it but you were dealt the cruelest card and we must now get used to that world. I will cherish the hours of voicenotes over the years where we tried to right the wrongs in our lives. Sleep easy now my dear friend, you really were one in a million...Sheena xxx

I had the pleasure of meeting Niamh when she started working on Nazareth ward.
We quickly went from colleagues to friends.

Niamh was a truly amazing nurse. She cared for her patients and families like they were her own.
As a manager, she was the definition of a leader and lead her team through some tough times. But, there was always smiles, laugher and jokes at the end of the day….The quick witt, and one liners!
We were devastated to lose her from Naz, but so happy that she was fulfilling your dreams and heading home.

She was one in a million.
Someone we will never forget .
