Sincerest sympathy to Angela,Aisling and the boys on the death of a gentleman,husband,father,grandfather and great friend and neighbour.
Sadly,we were just waiting for weather to improve so as to visit.We knew from Angela's Christmas letter that Nicholas was deteriorating.Poor Angela had a mishap last year and illness was never far away.
I always remember the great support Angela and Nicholas gave me when I first trod on the soil of Monaghan.Theirs was an open home for me and words fail to capture the genial generosity and hospitality accorded to me at all times.For this,I am eternally grateful.
We have missed precious opportunities in the last two years and dithering has robbed us of an opportunity to show our appreciation in person.
I have always admired the sheer unity and palpable closeness of Angela and Nicholas.May God console Angela in her time of loneliness and loss.
May you find support from your fantastic family and your siblings.
May Nicholas rest in eternal peace and happiness.We will never forget your friendship.Elizabeth
