A great character and loyal friend he had a great sense of humour and always up for the bit of banter.
He never wavered on his two great passions the GAA and politics, a staunh and loyal Fianna Fail man, he was also an incredible supporter of Ballinabrackey GAA and of course his royal Meath. Nick truly gave his all to the promotion of Ballinabrackey GAA one of its greatest fundraisers, no matter where or when you met Nick he always had a fundraising ticket to sell and with his wit and charm he was always successful.
Nick will be forever fondly remembered in his native Ballinabrackey, one great character who has left a lasting legacy of loyalty.
When Nick arrives at the 'golden gates' he's sure to have the right ticket to gain access to enjoy the fruits of his goodness and kindness, no better man.

I have many fond memories of Nick visiting my mother on a Monday morning and discussing in detail the dance in Harrys on the previous Sunday night. She got the entire story of who he danced with and who everyone else danced with and what was said and what wasn't said. Nick was extremely generous with his time and will be sorely missed by his family, neighbours and the wider community.
