My heartfelt sympathy to Nicky’s family & friends on his passing. I am in Germany on tour & so will not to be able to join you to say my goodbye. Nicky was a wonderful designer (he designed my 1987 Eurovision suit) & a wonderful friend . I will miss him.

I have a wonderful and vivid memory of a beautiful Sunday in 2003 when, after he indulged my badgering, I was to acompany him to the second of two premium seats to watch Wexford versus Cork in an AIH semi-final. So sorry to only read of Nicky passing away last Sunday.
Nicky was a great friend and indeed made many beautiful clothes for both Paul and myself. He made a stunning dress for my daughter Tracey Anne, her deb's.

I first met Nicky many years ago when both of us were in school at DLS Waterford.
We met again in Dublin in the early 2000's and would meet frequently for a coffee and chat.
Nicky was a lovely person and I really enjoyed his company.

We were so saddened to hear the news of Nicky’s passing having fought so well and so long against his nemesis. Nicky was a dear friend of us and our family and we have many cherished memories from over the years. When we visited him last summer, as we all crept out of lockdown, he had so many plans as he showed us the new place on the bullring and was still planning, planning, planning. We’ll miss him a lot - our thoughts and prayers are with you Carmel, Lauren and Karl.
