Nicky was a brilliant Riverstown man. I first met him when I worked in St Ledger pub and he was always the soul of the party with his wife Helen. Such great energy and spirit. Big Chelsea fan, used to love the banter. His daughter Jenny married my brother Paul and know how much he was loved in the family.

Helen, Gemma, Jennifer and Nicky, I’m so incredibly sorry for your loss. Nicky Snr was the heart and soul of Riversdale Park and such a defining presence throughout my life. He loved you all so very much, and his pride in you, and in his grandchildren, was always so evident to anyone who knew him. He was a wonderful man, and his memory will stay close to me always. My love to you all.
