Nick was the kindest soul. The girls always called him Uncle Nick, and we’ll never forget his warmth, his generosity, and the simple joys—chats over fresh eggs (of course from Nick's chickens), his love for Mucker, and the kindness in every message. He will always hold a special place in our hearts and we miss him immensely. With love and deepest sympathy from all of us.

Sending my sincere sympathy to Nick’s Mam, sister, brothers and extended family. Nick was one of the greats - a kind and gentle man, and I spent many a happy hour in his company over the years. On one memorable occasion, when returning to Manchester after a holiday in Galway, as I walked across the tarmac to board the plane, there was Nick playing his bodhrán for me to speed me on my way. Wonderful memories indeed. Sleep peacefully dear friend. I sang a song for you in Manchester last night. 🎶

Nick and his buddy Mick Crean rented a flat over our shop on the cross in Tramore many moons ago. I believe they were the perfect tenants - enjoying the music and craic when the shop was closed and resting when it was open! Fast forward about ten years and I found myself immersed in the same music and craic with Nick and many others. And there started what was to be a lifelong and wonderful friendship with Nick Power. Thankyou for everything a chara. May you be enjoying the peace you deserve after giving so much to so many over the years. My sincere condolences to your Mother and to Mary, Pidgeon, Pat and Perry and to all of your nieces and nephews and extended family - and your many dear friends. You were one in a million.

So sad to hear of Nick’s passing.
I used to love stopping outside his house on Shantalla Road for the warm friendly chat. We had brown bread making lessons during covid!
He was such a gent and always had time for a humorous exchange. “Up Tipp” he’d shout at me when I sped passed on my bike and I’d retort with “Up Waterford”! He will be sadly missed in all places. RIP . Condolences to his family.

A more generous, kind-hearted, sincere person you'd travel far to find. Nick was unique for his loyalty, his sense of humour, his musicianship, and his impish smile. He was best man at our wedding in Galway in 2003, and though time had distanced us, we always kept in touch. We'll never forget him xxx
