Yes Lorna - dear Nicki will be forever in our hearts. I wasn’t blessed with the wonderful poetic words that Nicki possessed but I would like to dedicate this poem by Mary Frye to the continued ripple of her infectious energy in all our lives:
Do not stand at her grave and weep: she is not there: she does not sleep.
She is the thousand winds that blow. She is the diamond glints on snow.
She is the sunlight on ripened grain; the gentle autumn’s rain.
When you awake in the morning’s hush she is the swift, uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight.
She is the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at her grave and cry: she is not there: she did not die.
With heartfelt condolences to all the family.

Nicki will be forever in the hearts of those she touched as her positivity and strength and sense of humor were infectious may the ripples of her energy keep, spreading out to help us all in our grief.
I can't make it to the funeral (in Germany) but will be with all there in spirit. I will do my own ceremony for her here, she loved the Odenwald and we spent many happy times here.
Here is a poem she wrote while here
Forever in my heart. le grá go deo.
Weeping Willow. April 2011 Wald Erlenbach, Germany
Your arteries of branches cascade
Vertically downwards
As the green of your foliage dances
Gently in the breeze
Hiding all in your vicinity
But yet a grounded trunk
Is at your core
As you soar towards the heavens
Knowing, wanting, living, life
