Nigel had an incredible knack for connecting with students by creating an inclusive environment wherever he went. With a cheeky smile and an easygoing demeanour he was a lot of fun to be around especially during lunchtimes on the soccer pitch, sharing light hearted banter with the students. His legacy is one of humility and compassion. Thinking of his family during this very sad time.

I'm so sorry to hear of your brothers death Sandra what beautiful condolences I read I didn't know Nigel but he must have been an outstanding man so sad from your old school pal may Nigel rest in peace

Nigel breathed laughter and good fun into our school. He had the most caring heart, wicked sense of humour, zero filter and an inability to say no to any request. He did so much work behind the scenes to enable us run our Adult Education classes and we spent many Monday and Tuesday nights at the school roundabout shooting the breeze and having the craic. Nigel shone a light through the darkest days, for both teachers and students and our school is all the better for having him as one of us. His flame still burns. Rest easy Nige

Nigel, you will never be forgotten. The thoughts of our days we spent gardening ( sitting down in the stores doing absolutely nothing, but having great chats) will always put a smile on my face. You got me out of class as much as you possibly could. The memories of us spending time with you, more specifically all of 4th year, are priceless.
