Noel Armstrong

Noel was one of the first people I met in the Spotted Dog starting there as a barman in 1990 as a 17 year old, starting out in the big world. Always a smile, a laugh, a story and a link to Mayo and home and of course, many a lift to the airport and back.
One of Life’s gentlemen. He will be missed In Willesden and Mayo by many and much further afield. Rest well Noel and condolences to his family.

Condolences to Susan and Michelle and family on the sad loss of Noel. I came to london in the mid 90's as a 17 year old and Noel was one of the first people I met. Over the next 16 years the laughs and the jokes and lies were told in the corner in Angie's! One of the best who always had time for everyone and a lift to or from the airport no matter how early or late!! Rest In Peace Noel . One of the very best.

very sad news for the huge Mayo diaspora in London.

Whilst I only knew Noel for a quick chat, I was always struck by the fact he had a constant smile and an infectious laugh.

Our mutual friends (the GAA lads and the Chelsea and QPR boys from north London) had the highest of regard for Noel and he will be sadly missed.

It was an absolute pleasure to know Noel.

As part of the Angies Willesden crowd over the years there were shared memories of craic, stories and the odd heated debate over GAA. There was also the countless times Noel was the start and end of our travels wherever we flew off to in the world, greeting us with a smile as we’d leave the front door or when walking out of the arrivals terminal in whatever state we were in. A pure gentleman and he will be greatly missed by one and all who knew him.

Willesden won’t be the same without meeting my neighbour Noel on the street. Many good times in the Spotted Dog down the years and in the other bars as well. Noel loved socialising and always a good conversation. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
