Noel was a frequent visitor to my parents house, Jerry and Noreen Holland, for many years whenever he returned to Ireland. My mum and dad always had fond memories of these visits including those of his parents and his sister Sr. Margaret Mary.

My sincere sympathy to the Barrett family. I only got to meet Noel last year playing golf, what a sincere gentleman and good company. I only heard this week and saw him out playing at a distance 2 weeks ago

Dear Noel,
It’s hard to say goodbye to such a good friend. All those rugby games, trips and even training sessions were so much more fun with you. You destroyed me on the squash court - with your charming smile afterwards, and all the golf we played in Søllerod and Rungsted
We shared many a fun table and drink together, also with Annette and, later, Sean, when he grew up.
I hope you have the best seats at the coming Ireland 🇮🇪 Rugby games as we raise a glass to your wonderful memory.Thank you for your friendship.

So very sad to learn of Noel's passing. He was a good friend when I lived in Copenhagen in the 1980's and a stalwart member of the Exiles rugby team (where he endeavoured to coach me, with very limited success!). So many funny memories, and Noel will be sorely missed. My deepest sympathies to all of Noel's family.

Noel was already in Copenhagen when i arrived 40 years ago. A more passionate rugby man, both on and off the pitch have i seldom met. His mild manner and sense of humour made him one of a kind. My condolances to Anette, Sean and the family.

So very sad to hear of Noel's passing. He was a great influence on me at a turning point in my life when I first joined the Exiles in 1994. I was secretary when he was president and in a way he became a mentor to me, always having a quiet word on the side on how we should do things and other approaches to consider.
Such a lovely, chamring man whom I has always loved catching up with at the anniversary dinners after I left the club in 1998.
I will miss him.

I keep remembering what a true gentleman he was. He was so nice to be with, interested and interesting to speak with, with a good sense of humour, always a smile on his face, and with a kind word for everyone. I will be missing him very much.
