To the Breen family, my heartfelt condolences on the loss of your mam and dad so close together.
I worked with Noel in Ericsson and as has been said many times on this page, he really was a true gentleman and a bit of a legend. I'm picturing him now, permanently fishing with Joe S, with Mary along for the boat ride. And a couple of pints and sing-song afterwards.
May they both rest in peace.

The shock of Noel's passing was immense and a sense of deep sadness for me and for his bereaved family only a week after his beloved Mary. We offer our sincere sympathy to Noel’s daughters, Deidre, Fionna, Noelle and Emma, to his great lifetime and loyal friend James Naughton, to his brothers and sisters, his brother- in- law Eamon Lindsey and extended Breen and Lindsey families at this sad time for you all.
Remembering Noel over his lifetime and his lifetime achievements in Telecommunications, firstly as my old Classmate and desk mate colleague during early sixties, for his amazing sharp, and interesting wit, which over a lifetime meeting him was indeed probably unique to Noel. Remembering Noel and the accounts of Noel through the many working colleagues that admired and respected him during his time in Eircom and of his worldly travels with Erriccson’s .Some of my fondest memories of Noel are in Ballinskelligs with James Naughton on my occasional visits there over the years, and the magical musical Serenades with his Guitar with James on the Clifftops under the stars and the Kerry Night sky during July and August.
One night that remains a lasting imprint for me was when I went on a solo training night dive in the Bay off Ballinakelligs during my years in Subaqua, only to surface with no Torch, no Compass, Surface Sea Fog all round and completely Disorientated. Noel Breen’s unforgettable Music from the Shore guided me back to safety.
May Noel Rest in eternal peace

We are So very sorry to hear of your loss of Mary and of Noel. Praying that, as John O’Donohue wrote: ‘May you know that absence is full of tender presence and that nothing is ever lost or forgotten.
May the absences in your life be full of eternal echo.
May you sense around you the secret Elsewhere which holds the presences that have left your life.’
