I was very sorry to hear of Noel’s passing. I first met him in the 1950s in the 41st Battalion (A Coy 7BN) and over the years we went on to run the gun club together in the Slua Hall in Swords, where we produced some great shooters. One of our proudest shared achievements was being members of the winning team of the All Army Rifle Competition in 1976. They were good times, and they will always stay with me.
