Noel will always be fondly remembered and admired for his coaching at Thames Rowing Club. For instance, back in the 1986/7 season he kindly coached a mens coxed four which achieved a level of success for the club (amongst male rowers) not seen for decades previously.

We are so very saddened to learn of your Dad’s passing. It is well that you were there with him over these past months. We have missed you terribly of course, but there was no doubt as to where you should be.

God called up a good one in your Dad, who we have come to know through you. Even in your sorrow, remember that Heaven is rejoicing today. Keep that with you each and every day, and Noel’s memory will grow ever fonder.

May God visit His peace upon you both in the days to come, and with Victoria, Jack and his family, and all the others who loved and now grieve your Dad’s passing.
