I wish to express my sympathy to the Hanley family on the death of Noel. I was well aware of Noel in football terms. It is not that many years ago since I met him in the Hogan Stand of Croke Park accompanied by Seamus Keane. I am aware of him being part of the fine United Stars team -Creggs/Oran- and their successful run to winning the 1960 senior championship. Also, some years ago now, he talked to me outside Creemully/Castlecoote church of playing with my brother Willie on the Roscommon minor team of '49. He loved his football and he was a good one. The picture with the Sam Maguire ( if I'm correct) is very appropriate. May he rest in peace
