Noel often called to the Sociology Office for a chat while he was studying with us at Maynooth University. I have fond memories of him from that time. May he rest in peace.

My sincere condolonces to the Hynes family on the death of their father and grandfather.

Noèl was my in line boss for a few years in Dublin Castle in the late 1970's. He was a unique character and one gentleman he taught us younger generation under his charge much and always in a calm friendly and inclusive manner. He was unequaled in so many ways especially with all formats of paperwork where his sharp intellect was so evident.

If there is a ballroom in Heaven be assured that Noèl will be the first to take the floor.

It is with much sadness we learned of the passing of Noel. Noel was one of our founding voluntary Directors who helped establish St Raphael’s Garda Credit Union in 1964. He was a regular visitor to St Raphaels, and we will always be grateful for the contribution he made to the credit union.

We would like to extend our deepest sympathies to his family and friends.

Thank you for the memories Noel of all the wonderful nights we had in my home in Rathcoffey and Mainham where you told some wonderful stories of your time in Dublin and you weren't too bad at telling the odd joke. To be in your company was a pleasure , so young at heart and always in great form. Thank you for been a true and loyal friend to Mum. Heaven has now gained a wonderful dancer and a wonderful person.
