Sorry to hear of the sad passing of Noel. He did trojan work for amateur football in Dublin and chaired the disciplinary committee fairly and firmly as i found out in person. He helped Moyle Park Past Pupils to get started but expected the highest standards from players with a "college education". We let him down a few times. May he rest in peace.

My sincerest condolences to all of the Kennelly family on this great loss to you all.
I played and then refereed in the AFL and absolutely loved every single minute of my time there. Noel was a great guiding light for me in both capacities to me as an adviser firstly as a player an laterally as a referee.
When I played I was sent off twice in a week in the '70's and when I appeared before the disciplinary committee Noel raised his pen and said to me "this pen can suspended you for a long time if you dont behave in future "
Message received and understood. He was very supportive to me when I decided to take up refereeing.

Always a great person to talk to and a great advisor.
Anyone who knew Noel has lost a great and valued friend. RIP Noel.
